"Her rigorous, calm and thoughtful teaching goes hand in hand with the art of manual therapy, beyond simple maneuvers. She teaches you the practices studied in the USA and Canada."

Portrait

Anne discovered massage and manual therapy in California in the 80s. Much to her surprise, it was love at first sight, and she decided to make it her profession.

A US-certified massage therapist with a penchant for structural and deep-tissue techniques, she has been practicing and teaching for over 30 years.

Anne meets Milèna May Bergeroncreator of Deep Flow, in Vancouver in 2009. Deep Flow gives coherence to what she has learned and enables her to deepen her knowledge. This methodology frees her, while giving her a sense of direction.

Anne has been living in France for several years, where she teaches and practices  Deep Flow among other approaches (Swedish, Deep Tissue, Oncology). Her teaching style is sensitive, respectful and encourages curiosity.

A meeting

In the right place at the right time, I discovered massage and its holistic approach in the mid-1980s while living in Los Angeles.

A graduate of the Massage School of Santa Monica and the Shiatsu School of California, with a large private clientele, I was able to practice immediately what I had learned and feel at ease with my new skills.

Late 80s:

I was invited to join a team of therapists selected to open “ Burke Williams Beyond the Spa " (one of the first day spas in the United States). I quickly became director of the Massage Department and, by the time I left in 2000, I was managing over 200 massage therapists in four different locations.

2000s:

After moving to New York, I was offered a position as in a prestigious spa. This offer made me realize that what I loved most about my work was practicing massage and teaching. I turned down the offer and decided to pursue my true vocation in order to concentrate on setting up my own private practice.

2009 :

I began teaching Swedish massage at the Vancouver School of Massage and Bodywork (VSBM) in British Columbia, Canada, where I worked with a team of inspiring teachers, a visionary school director and administrative staff, including Mylèna May Bergeron, creator of Deep Flow (deepfloweurope.com). This encounter gave a new and dynamic direction to my work.

2010 :

I started teaching in France.

2014 :

I moved again, and this time to my home country hoping to expand my teaching program and develop a new practice. I start teaching in several schools including: Paris Beauty Academy (Nanterre), The Miki School (Paris ) and l'Ecole Européenne de Massage (Brussels) and also on my own.

2019 :

I begin the Training for “Anatomy Trains Structural Integration Certification” in the USA with Tom Myers. Unfortunately, this training is interrupted by the 2020 health crisis and I'm waiting for the right time to finish the 2nd and 3rd part of the program. In the meantime, I continue to study similar topic via distance learning or shorter workshops. I also went to london to attend an "Oncology Massage" course with Susan Findlay to update my knowledge.

Depuis 2021 :

"I opened my own practice in Porspoder. I continue to train on my own account and in schools/training centers." La Fédération Française de Massage Traditionnel de RelaxationI support and am a former volunteer practitioner of the association AlterSoin Pour tous 44 in addition to my current involvement as a volunteer with the association A Chacun Son Cap.”
